Meeting of great rivals
Slashers V Killoe next Sunday 26 July is the next round of the championship and will be a real contest given the rivalry between these two neighbouring clubs. Slashers always look forward to a meeting with Killoe and this week will be no exception. Killoe is the form team already with a win under the belt.
Slashers go into this game needing a win and it may well be the best time for these two teams to meet. Playing Killoe often brings out the best in Slashers and now with one game already played the strengths of Slashers will have to be brought to the fore. Trevor Clendenning, Barry Gilleran and Niall Kelly were the main men keeping the scoreboard ticking over against St Columba's so it is expected that other key forwards will step up the next day out. Michael and Peter Brady with Dermot Brady worked tirelessly up the middle on a day when St Columba forwards found their range from 40m out. Colm Farrell was rock solid in goals and the kick outs were effective.
On wards to Maguire Park where we look forward to seeing the Killoe team.
