Our Junior team played their first game in the Division 1 league against county champions Killoe away from home on Friday evening last. This was a big task to step up to this level and with a number of regulars missing, this very young team put up a great performance before losing in the end. The girls more than held their own in the first half to go in only two points down but the more experienced Killoe outfit put the scores on the board in the 2nd half to run out winners. If the girls keep up training and put in wholehearted performances in the rest of the league matches, they will undoubtedly win a number of matches over the season. The text system will be used to update girls on training and matches. It is expected that we will have a gold cup match this weekend probably on Sunday 19th March.
