Junior team
Our Junior team came up short in their quest for the club's first Junior title when narrowly defeated by 3-11 to 3-08 by a good Dromard team. In a game where our young team were not overawed by the occasion, we created a number of goal chances in the first half but unfortunately our finishing let the girls down. A sucker punch goal just on half time kept Dromard in the match but we recovered well from that blow and in the second half led by 6 points at one stage. However it was not to be as a late goal and point gave Dromard victory by 3 points in the end. It was a very exciting game played by two very talented teams. It is still a learning curve for these young girls and we will be back in county finals n Pearse Park in years to come with hopefully better outcomes.
Minor
We are back to minor action next weekend when Ballymahon/Forgney are the opposition in Slashers at 11.30am on Sunday 21st September.
