Our ladies team were in senior championship semi final action against Killoe on Friday evening last. In what was a very close affair our ladies put in a magnificent performance to reach their first senior football final in many years. Played in difficult conditions our ladies took the game to this strong Killoe team from the off and there was very little between the teams all through the match. However a well worked Aising Cosgrove goal a few minutes from the end put us in the lead and we held on until the final whistle. On as scoreline of 2-10 to 3-03, this was a well deserved victory and gives us a chance of winning the Senior title having won the Junior and Intermediate titles in the last 2 years. Our final opponents will be Clonguish in a couple of weeks time and our ladies have every chance of bringing the senior title back to Slashers. Well done Ladies.
