Míle buíochas Many thanks to all mentors, players, sponsors and supporters who put a shoulder to the wheel over the past year. As the playing year winds down and fixtures become fewer the club sends appreciation to all involved particularly the players who have given so much over the year and have been an example. Though our silver ware is scarce in 2016 progress has been made under Eugene McCormack in reaching the championship quarter finals and the intention for next year is to build on that and make further progress. Being the best and reaching the top involves work and honesty and Slashers have the players to achieve excellence in 2017. Some very bright prospects are coming up fast from the younger grades and it is hoped that these young players will get game time with the county u/21 teams which will give further experience. Team captain Peter Brady thanked all players after the league match V St Columba's and pointed to 2017 for improvement and renewed effort.
