Under 6 and Under 8s
Training for these age groups is continuing every Thursday at seven up in slashers new players are always welcome.
Under 10s
There is an under 10 blitz out in Carrickedmond tonight at 7,the boys have been getting some great results in their recent blitzes and are showing great improvements in training
Under 12s
On Thursday night the under 12s went out to Keenan park in Ardagh to play them in the semi-final of the Longford/Leitrim League,
Ardagh started very well and should have been a couple of goals up within the first few minutes but for wayward shooting and brilliant defending , but the lads settled as the game went on and gained the upper hand with some fine long range scoring..in fairness to Ardagh they had a lot of the ball for spells and staged a few attacks themselves but the Slashers defense were in fine form and were not going to give away too many scores.Slashers were very clinical with their point taking and emerged comfortable winners in the end.
Well done to the team on a great win and a great campaign in this new competition where they will be flying the flag for the county against St. Marys of Carrick on Shannon in the final Friday night at 7 in Pearse Park.
All support for the boys is appreciated.
Under 14s
Under 14 training is on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6, the team will be playing in the Gowna Sevens Tournament and the championship is starting soon so its important there is a good turnout at training.
