Last week-end proved very fruitful on the playing fields.
Junior Championship
On Friday evening our squad had an easy win over St. Munis, at Egan Park, Forgney in their first round championship game. The team played well and were on top from early on in the game and managed to maintain their dominance throughout the entire game. They can look forward to a semi-final clash with either Emmet Og or St. Columbas.
Senior Championship
Compare that to our senior championship game against Abbeylara at Pairc na nGael, Dromard on last Saturday evening where we struggled to hold on and had to withstand immense pressure in the final quarter. During that time, Abbeylara threw all they had at our defence who had to dig deep and were made to work hard. We now find ourselves out of the play-off area and in the top section of championship 2014.
A.C.L. Division 1
Our next senior game is in the all-county league, Div. 1 when we play Colmcille on this Friday night in Michael Fay park, at 7.15pm.
