Senior Hurling Championship
Our senior hurlers take on Clonguish this Friday in Devine Park Mostrim at 7.15pm in Round 2 of the Senior Hurling Championship. Only a point seperated Clonguish & Wolfe Tones in Round 1 last Friday. A win would put us through to the County Final. Support appreciated!
We were bitterly disappointed to have lost another final by just a point last Tuesday week. Our U12s gave it everything & the game finished level before going to extra time. We were missing two players who were on holidays but we are all very proud of the team who played with passion, skill and discipline throughout the season.
Also a word of gratitude to the players who took to the field for the U16 final & acquitted themselves well despite facing overwhelming odds. Your day will come!
The Longford Slashers GAA three-day camp took place last week and thankfully the temperatures & the attendances were both high. Great to see so many boys and girls arriving each day with their own hurleys. Thanks to Caroline Bergin and to all the coaches and helpers for running such an enjoyable few days.
