Longford Slashers Camógie club was set up in
2008 and has been growing in leaps and bounds ever since.
Our
U14 team won two back-to-back All-Ireland titles in 2013 and 2014, bringing the Michael Kennedy Cup to Longford. 2013 also saw the establishment of our first U16 and Minor teams. In 2015 we made even further progress by fielding at senior level for the first time.
In 2018 our U14 team made history by being the
first ever Longford team to win a National Féile U14 Competition, while in the same year our
U16 team won the Westmeath 'A' Championship.
The club currently has over 70 members, with players ranging from
U6 up to Senior. The club is always looking for new members so whatever your age and, whether you have played before or not, we would love to have you join.
