u14 and Minors stand firm
Flipadeóirí Longfort were in in both u14 and minor grades on 19 Sept and the u14 drew the game against Killoe while the minors went on to score an important victory.
The u14 draw means that the Slashers team get another shot at the title and another chance to play in a final, this time with the experience of the previous game behind them.
The Minors played Killoe under lights at the home club and it was a hotly contested game with goals coming at key moments. The team played well but they know that they can up the temp a few notches still. The back line was solid and when the mid-field began to express themselves in the 2nd half the home side started to click.
Daniel Doherty in goal was sound and the likes of Eoin Bartley, Ronan Sheahan and Robbie Clarke showed leadership all the way through to make sure that Slashers came out on top.
