u21 set for 2014 action
Flipadeóirí Longfort u21 will be in action in Monaduff on TBC when they will start off the campaign. Many of these players have seen a lot of football so far with other teams this year so are well prepared to step up for this grade.
A number of players that have seen action with the seniors such as Shane O Connell, Brian Walsh, Shane Rodgers, Niall Kelly, Colm Farrell, Adrian Duffy, Andrew Dalton and Sean and Ruarí Clarke will be primed to see action in the u21s.
The junior team has been setting the pace for the club for the past few weeks and there are players buzzing for action there who will also be available for the u21s. Players like Brian Rooney, Cian Kavanagh, Ronan Sheahan, Andrew Kelly, Shane Kelly and Daniel Doherty have been very prominent in recent games. Added to this the minor team has shown that there are players who are well capable at playing at a higher grade if the need arises.
Tosach maith
The fact that the minors and Juniors are all still in competitive action bodes well for the U21s coming into the first game. Tosach maith, leath na h-oibre.....cinnte go bhfuil an tosach maith againn an ocáid seo.
