Our club are in mourning this week, following the unexpected death of Donal Brady after a brief illness. His passing has left a void which will be difficult to fill, such was his contribution to the Flipeadoiri in many aspects, but particularly so during his tenure as Chairman, when we won 3 senior championships and 1 senior league title.
He set goals in which he invested sponsorship, time, focus, initiative and boundless energy into and his sense of humour was an added bonus. He is regarded as being in the top echelon of those who guided the club over the past 70 years.
While our loss is palpable, our thoughts are especially with his family. His wife Mary, son Dermot (who contributed hugely to the club over the past 30 years), his daughters Catherine, Sinéad, Valerie and Marie and extended families, to whom we extend our deepest sympathy
