Its a wonderful occasion for any player to contest a county final and an even bigger achievement to raise the cup at the end of the final. On Saturday Flipeadóirí Longfoirt raised two cups, the senior Ladies and the senior hurling cups victorious in both finals. Slashers ladies have now won a record 7 senior championships in a row and our brave hurlers brought home the 13th championship. Clodagh Lohan won player of the match and our senior ladies look forward now to a run in Leinster.
The lads with the camán had to go a second day v Wolfe Tones to decide the result as the Mostrim lads held onto their title with everything they had over both games. Slashers managed to stay a whisker ahead all through the game and resisted the late charge from the brave Wolfe Tone lads. Mícheál Mulcahy got the decisive green flag and the man of the match went to John Murray.
The hurlers now prepare for Wicklow  champions in a special junior Leinster.
